(A short list of the most common sins in our time).
Preparing for confession, write down from the list of sins that convict Your conscience. If a lot of them, you need to start from the most serious — death. I (name of) have sinned before God: weak faith (doubt in His being). I do not have to God, no love, no proper fear, so seldom to confession and receive Holy communion, (which brought the soul to the fossilization of insensibility towards God). Rarely attend Church on Sundays and holidays (work, trade, entertainment these days). I do not know how to repent, I do not see sins. I do not remember death and do not prepare to appear before the Judgment of God (the Memory of death and future judgment helps to avoid sin).
I have sinned: I do not thank God for his mercy. Disobedience to the will of God (I wish that everything was in my own way). The pride hope for myself and the people and not on God. The desire for fame, respect, gratitude, praise, championship... Doing good for show. Bragging and admiring yourself. Showing off before people (wit, appearance, abilities, clothes. . .).
Sinned: disobedience to parents, elders and superiors, insulting them. Whims, stubbornness, prevarication, self-will, self-justification. Laziness to study. Careless care of elderly parents, relatives... (left them unattended, food, money, medicine..., rented in a nursing home...).
Sinned: pride, resentment, rancor, temper, anger, vindictiveness, hatred, irreconcilable enmity. Impudence and audacity (climbed without a queue, pushed). Cruelty to animals. Insulted domestic, was cause of family scandals. Not carrying joint works on education of children and the maintenance of economy, parasitism, drinking of money, delivery of children in orphanage... Occupation by martial arts and sports (professional sport damages health and develops in soul pride, vanity, feeling of superiority, contempt, thirst of enrichment... ) 'for fame, money, robbery (racketeering). Rough treatment of neighbors, causing them harm (what?). Assault, stuffing, murder. Not the protection of the weak, battered women from violence... Violation of traffic rules, driving under the influence of alcohol... (than endangered the lives of people).
Sinned: negligent attitude to work (public office). Social position (talents...) used not for the glory of God and the benefit of men, but for personal gain. Oppression of subordinates. He did not assist in the spread of Orthodoxy and the suppression of the influence of sects, sorcerers, psychics... He was seduced by their money and rented them premises (which contributed to the death of the souls of people). Did not protect Church shrines, did not assist in the construction and repair of churches and monasteries...

A cold and unfeeling confession. I sin consciously, trampling on the convicting conscience. There is no firm determination to correct my sinful life. I repent that I offended the Lord with my sins, I sincerely regret it and will try to correct myself.
